Default Can you really make it big in older companies?

New MLM companies come out everyday, groundfloor opportunity is great, but full of risk. So, is it still possible to creat great wealth with older companies such as Amway, Shaklee, Nu Skin, Herbalife... etc?

I think so. I've been an Amway distributor for many years and although I'm not actively building the business, the monthly magazines show that there are new Directs, new upper levels coming through every month. And the company always has new initiatives, products and other things happening. I expect other companies might be similar, or else they wouldn't still be around, would they?

I can't answer for any of the companies you've mentioned, although I'd have to agree that anyone CAN make it big in any company. Especially when you read stats that only 3-5% of people ever make it big in most NM companies.....so , over the years, these leaders will come in and do it but not many.

I've been with AVon for 7+ years. Avon as you know is over 120 years old! I've watched a few people come in and rise quickly, one just about at the very top of the comp plan, a speaker at last years convention too and she's only been with Avon 5 years or so.

Anything is possible if you put your heart and soul into it and believe in yourself. The "older" companies have been around for a long time for a reason :-)

Default Absolutely!

I met a girl about 5 years ago who was the top leader in Tupperware. I don't know how long she was in it, but she was a young girl, so it couldn't have been too long....her parties were awesome, though! She gave away so much free stuff and she was so funny...we used to beg to book Tupperware parties with her if you can believe that!!!

I fully believe it is possible with determination and hard work. Many people want it, but just are not willing to put in the work to make it.

Your chances of making it big in an older, well established, "saturated" () company are far, far, far higher than your chances of making it big in a start-up. Absolutely no comparison at all.

The top millionaires in all the world's biggest network marketing companies have been people who joined them when they were older and very well established. There are reasons for that.

BusyBee the answer to your question is anybody can succeed at anything for as long as they focus on growing themselves. I've realized people will join a person before their opportunity. If a person can generate at least 10-20 leads a day then they can grow any business their heart desires.

I teach folks to focus on growing themselves more and just pick and plug into what their heart desires.

Yes, most definitely ... and some great examples are listed above.

Although there is a start-up launched daily ... the vast, vast majority are not here in a year or two ... They've gone out of business, leaving their heartbroken distributors "holding the bag" ...

Furthermore, with a start-up company, there is either no track record of management (the key factor for long-term success of any company, in my opinion) .. so you have no information as to their integrity, commitment, expertise, etc.

Or, if you do have information that they have previously owned an mlm company, then they have either sold previous companies or have failed at previous companies.

Track record is critical ... the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. If they've owned and sold previous companies, chances are they'll do it again ... If they've owned and failed at previous companies ... track record ... track record ...

If you're going to risk your precious time and money in a business, it's important to have confidence that the business will be there for the long term ... and that the management team is strong, committed, financially sound, and prepared to do right by its distributors.

WOW! I love what you just said about not many willing to work for it

The good news for business builders and leaders is that most of our distribution force will make up customers and that in turn can sustain the business leader. Just be assure the retention of your business is good.
