Just for the record everyone, this company does not specialize in training Virtual Assistants.

Tiffany, your company does not specialize in training Virtual Assistants. Why would you portray as if your company is going to get them started training as VAs when that is not true.

You know that your company is an Arise VSC and that you only hire customer service and sales reps. None of your agents have the title as Virtual Assistant. Additionally, the jobs that your company offer has nothing to do with being a Virtual Assistant and none of the positions your offer are related to a Virtual Assistant.

You should not portray your company as a "Virtual Assistant" business because its not. You know and I know that is not what they do. The specialize in CALL CENTER related jobs not Virtual Assistant projects.

I think your posting is VERY misleading because your company CAN NOT get anyone started as a "Virtual Assistant" because that is not what your company does.

I am glad I read further into this thread. I was about to send a PM to the Arise poster but after reading further into the thread and seeing that she is from Arise I am glad that I did not. I do not want to PAY to start working. I have experience and I started the Arise course and it was demeaning.

I am working full time from home for a company that I do not like. I am an employee and I do have benefits, I just want more. I want to be paid for what I am worth, and I need flexibility. I am working as a CSR over the phone and I am raising 4 boys. I want to be able to answer a question for my boys, eat dinner with them, and be able to kiss them goodnight with out worrying if I am going to get in trouble for any incidental noise they may make while I am on the phone.

I have managed a B&M office before. I have intermediate computer skills, excellent phone and interpersonal skills. I can type, file, do basic bookkeeping, file transfers, email, etc. I know I am marketable. I just need to know how and where to apply and I don't want to be scammed. I have tried the VOT route and that is a scam. All they want is your personal information. I do not need to do a credit check using their software on their system to get a job.

Advice? Feel free to PM me.

I'm just starting to look into working from home and becoming a VA is one of the areas that are interesting to me. Would someone be able to send me some information on what it takes to become a VA? I have over 10 years of experience in data entry/clerical work. I am very good in working with all aspects of Microsoft Office, especially Access. Thanks in advance for any information that someone may send me. My email address is janiera@gmail.com
