I am a stay at home mom. I would love to return to work but find myself torn. The current economy won't allow me to do so due to child care it just would not pay for me to do so. I graduated at the top of my class from Bradford Business school and my instructor suggested that I pursue a career in medical transcription. I would greatly appreciate any advice, guidance, suggestions and tips.

Consider checking out general transcription rather than medical as you don't need to go to school or be certified to do GT.
Good luck.

A transcriber must be a skilled typist. Required typing speeds vary with individual employers. In this job, keen attention to detail is important. The transcriber must also have a specific knowledge base that matches the individual transcription duties. If you have all these qualities then you can start your work as a transcriber.
