UPDATE

Hello Ladies,
I have received some emails as of recently that lead me to believe that there is some confusion about my current affiliation with this company. I want to clarify I was never a "partner" or "owner" of said company. I was a contract worker, just as many of you here have been. I terminated my contract with ProTrans back in November when i found work with a different company.

I understand that some of you are still dealing with payment issues. That is nothing I have control of as it is not my company. I do not hire outside workers for my current business as I do not want to deal with the headache that we have all gone through at one point or another. I, like many of you are waiting on final payment for an invoice. While I do not feel the need to take collection of the outstanding payment to the extreme that some here are, I do understand the thinking behind it.

I hope in time that everyone gets their situations worked out.

Thank you.

Rachiegoth, and anyone considering applying here, it might be useful to read this thread first:

IC - new or old - beginnger's welcome

There are a couple of the threads in the Telecommuting Moms folder too.

Thanks for the tip, Alba. I was going to email her, but after reading that, I don't think so. I see there's been some problems, so I'd rather not add myself to the list.

Also, is it possible that flaminroze = cambrosio?

Laurie

Oh Laurie, I don't know....but when you plug the email she provided into the search bar at the top of the page, you might be interested in the results

It's quite an interesting business practice to have your terms and conditions shredded by other transcriptionists (some of whom have previously worked for this so-called stellar company) and then go ahead and either a) create another username and pretend to be someone completely new, or b) have someone else do your advertising for you because you have outstayed your welcome.

The reason I asked the question with regard to the medical transcription was because the only other time I've seen a transcription company expect their transcriptionists to jump through hoops and be at the company's beck and call was in medical transcription. The only difference being, of course, that medical transcriptionsists are paid very well for doing that, unlike the peanuts being offered by this company - as shared by Flaminroze in another thread.

Flaminroze and I are two different people. I started working for the company a couple of months ago and have had nothing but good experiences. Work is steady and the pay has been on time.

I know that there are some people on here that have had "not so great" experiences according to their posts. I understand the frustration from those people but I also think that everyone needs to check out a situation for themselves before passing judgement.

If I had listened to all the "advice" on here before contacting the company I would never have applied. I most definitely never would have gotten to know the great team of girls that I work with.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and this is mine. If you would like to work on a regular basis and want to make up your own mind then I suggest obtaining all the facts for yourself. It saddens me that on this board that is supposed to be empowering to women, so many are following the lead of others instead of making up our own minds. Why do we all insist on bashing and coloring the decisions of others? To me that does nothing for any of us here but bring us down.

There is no bashing or colouring the decisions of others going on. What is going on with this company is not empowerment of you, cambrosio, or any other woman. The demands for the pay are an insult.

If anything is being brought down, it is the whole transcription profession.

By the way, what happened to Victoriasboutique who was the last shift leader? I know that's not your job to know, but maybe Lynn does.

I'm not sure what happened with the other team lead. As for the rate of pay I am happy with what I am making.

Cambrosio, I'm only worried about potentially not getting paid. I'm not trying to color anyone's opinion, but however, there's many people on the other thread that haven't been paid by Lynn for services rendered. I wouldn't want to work for someone, and then not get paid for it. How about a list of those who work for you? Then they can speak for themselves. And if i work, and I don't get paid, my husband, the lawyer, is going to get really pissed. Maybe you have had a good experience, and if so, okay, but I need to know that I'm not going to get boned.
I'll be needing receipts for my invoices, and prompt payments. No BS about payments, paypal me, or direct deposits, or nothing. No paper checks, no problems. I have enough to deal with at home, and with regular contracts without payment issues. I don't think you guys are bad people, but I can't have my pocket messed with. I'm not trying to bash you, or anyone, but a bunch of us have either read the other threads, or have not been paid. It's not fair to you for them to have you post here when they know that their name has been sullied here.

Laurie
