I completed my Britney & Justin test on December 21 and on December 22 I was given another file to transcribe. I completed this one and submitted the same day. On December 23 I received a message saying they'd received my transcript, and that they wouldn't be back in the office until January 3, because of the holidays. They also said that they would contact me again during the "course" of January. Should I get in touch with them again myself, or wait to hear from them?

I do know that they're not at full strength yet as far as staff goes. They do take a tremendously long (by US standards) winter break and it's possible that the training staff aren't even back to work yet.
My advice would be to give it maybe another week, and if you haven't heard anything by that time, to drop them a courtesy email just in case they have misplaced your file. Good luck with the testing. Two down...hopefully only one more to go!
