So I'm considering applying with Sten-Tel but wanted to see if anyone here works for them? Most specifically I'd like to know what kind of volume is available? If files are chosen or assigned? And what/how the payscale is?
Any info would be appreciated. I'm with another company, but would like to take on one more if possible... hubby's in construction (independent contractor) and times are too tough right now. Thanks. Last edited by Ana_S; 01-22-2010 at 08:08 PM. |

Hello everyone! I have a question. I've been a paralegal for over 25 years and have been working from home now for 2 years. I'm trying to apply w/Sten-Tel, however, I don't see where you the sample transcription test is on the site? can anyone help please? TIA

I'm not sure there is a sample transcript test. I never saw one when I tested, but then again that was two years ago.

Thanks SoccerMom, but do you recall how you got in? Did you email them your resume? So how did you 'test' for them? Or did you? Sorry for lots of questions, I'm just confused about their website and I know I'd be great at doing this! TIA
and Thanks again! |

I did not email my resume to them at all. My story is this, I was working for the legal department at the psych hospital doing involuntary commitment proceedings on patients. I have been in the legal field since 1994 mainly in insurance defense.
My director of nursing decided she was going to change my hours to which I refused to work. We went back and forth in a conversation for several months and she told me I needed to get my priorities straight when I told her I would not do it because of my kids. So that day I came home, found Sten-Tel, tested, and I've been working for them ever since. And I love them. They are awesome. They pay on time every time. Don't hesitate to ask. I'll be glad to tell you what I can. The testing is relatively straightforwarded. There are steps, but it's straightforward.
