You might check places like eBay or half.com. When I dropped out of the course I sold my materials on eBay. Now I wish I had kept them since I'm considering retaking it.

I was able to purchase the books "used" but they are still shrink wrapped and they included the CD package for $165 including shipping. I found them through Craigslist. Just keep searching and searching and you'll eventually find them. A set just sold through Ebay for around $132 but had cassette tapes. The thought of sitting in front of the computer didn't appeal to me so I wanted to buy them.

If you put career step in quotes when you search that will help (like this "career step") I just did a quick search and found a new set on craigslist for $125 (better deal than I got!). There is also a set on ebay. Just go to google and type in "career step" books for sale and see what you come up with.

Thanks!
Would you get an older edition?
Man, wish I kept my old cassette player.

I am signed up for the July 1st class (can't wait to start). Does anyone know if you can print out the books once you have access? I can't afford the books but sometimes I would like to just read and study instead of being in front of the computer. I have to share with the kids right now the computer.
Thanks if anyone can let me know.

I'm starting this Wed, too!
Are you new to transcribing?? I am.
I would assume one can print out pages of the book.

I did read somewhere once that you can print out the pages. They said it was just a lot of printing but you can do it.
