Cheapest Cell Phone..No More Driod

I downgraded from the DRIOD phone to a basic phone. I went from the unlimited phone plan to the basic phone plan. I now have 1500 anytime minutes, 1500 texts, and 20mgs of data for only $30 a month through Virgin Mobile. Virgin Mobile only costs me $1.00 per day. I can't beat the price! The kicker? My basic no bells cell phone only costed $15.00 dollars.

Have you downgraded your cell phone? Have you switched to a different company?

No, I still have my blackberry with me. But I plan on changing phones and giving this to my sister who needs this more than I am. I am still thinking on which phone to use and which company.

Is your coverage good with Virgin Mobile? I have needed to switch companies because the coverage was bad where I was living.

I really like my droid! But then again, that is a bill my hubby pays, not me.

He just got rid of his smart phone and went back to a more basic model and seems much happier - guess he can touch his headset once while driving and chat without having to "unlock the phone, blah blah blah steps"

My phone is still pretty basic, but truly the only reason is that I always give my upgrades to the kids. I'm rather looking forward to an upgrade soon, but not the bill that comes with all the upgrades!

My husband just bought me the iPhone but I still gave my droid that I have to my daughter and I pay $25 a month for my droid and it has unlimited texting and Internet with 250 mins through Virgin mobile. He originally bought the iPhone for him but never used it because he has an ipad and his job pays for his blackberry but he doesnt need a phone now.

The iphone costs $80 a month which is crazy. If he didn't buy it and wasn't paying the bill I would've kept my Samsung droid.

I think my virgin mobile is under a grandfather clause because I don't see my $25 plan anymore but they do have a $35 unlimited text and Internet with 300 minutes.

To me it really depends on what the phone is used for. If you're a person that only uses the phone for conversations and text messages why not just use a cheap and basic flip phone?

However there are some of us that really need smart phones. Some of us may just be addicted to the games However I need my smart phone for my job. It can be a life saver at times.
