Default Save Money Using Free Google Apps. Which Ones Do You Use?

I am a little behind when it comes to using mobile apps because my phone is old fashioned (of course my 12-year-old has the state-of-the-art model!), but you don't have to have an Android or iPhone to take advantage of Google apps which run on the Chrome browser of a PC.

There is a variety free apps that you can use to save money on your grocery shopping and even gift giving.

One that I really like is Grocery Pal.

Because I am a huge couponer, I plan my trips on paper and match my coupons with the store sales to score big bargains, but sometimes I just need one or two items in a hurry but I still want the best deal.

Install Grocery Pal as a toolbar button on your Chrome browser. Click the button and it will ask for your zip code. Your store icons will appear and you can click on each one and see the deals at that store broken down by category.

Why go to Piggly Wiggly and pay full price for Coke, when it is on sale down the street at Bi-lo? Over time, this will save you tons of money since the spur of the moment shopping trips are usually the most costly.

You can read more about it and get the app HERE.

Another cool app that I am testing is Invisible Hand. It discreetly notifies you if the product you’re shopping for is available more cheaply from another retailer in the form or an orange drop down notification on your screen. The notification provides a convenient link straight to the relevant page on the competing website. Very cool for Christmas shopping! You can get Invisible Hand here.

If you don't have Chrome, simply download it here. It is easy to use and you can have several browsers on the same computer.

Please let me know what other cool PC apps you use.
