Thank you for this tip! I might try this too, but I am afraid that it will affect the taste? However I will still try this myself. Low-fat milk doesn't sound bad to me.

Default How to get a coupon for milk

You can get a coupon for about 75 cents off if you live in Idaho or Utah. Go to coupons.com for it

My family of five goes through a gallon of milk each day! I would never get away with watering it down, but may try...

We go through a gallon about every 3 days. I have found Aldi's milk is cheaper than my regular grocery store. It's helps some.

Wth three kids three and under, we cant water down milk either and we go through alot of it! I price match at Wal Mart based off the local grocery store ads. usually can get it as low as $1.97 per gallon that way.

That is a great tip.

You should see the prices for Organic milk, let's not even get into Raw milk (if you can even find it). Last time I got Raw milk it was $9 for about a quart! And that's for fresh milk, no homogenization or pasteurizing... so less work but more money?

I used to love milk, but now I don't drink it much anymore. I buy Almond milk or Hemp milk instead, and use Coconut milk for cooking/baking.

A little off topic, but I just think something is wrong with drinking milk from a cow. This started ever since I started breastfeeding my daughter. Cows have tiny brains, the milk is to add fat and size to a baby calf. Anyone else think this is strange?

We got 2 milk goats and are loving having the "free" milk. Still have to buy goat feed, though.

You can actually stock up on milk when its on sale and the freeze it. Take a few ounces out of the container to allow for expansion and then throw it in the freezer. You can also buy the milk that was reduced because its nearing expiration.

Just remember to take it out of the freezer to thaw a day or two before you need it!
