Do they have anything for natural and organic food stores?

I save food through preserving left-over then recooked again. Also I make sure that the food I serve is enough for my family.
I used this method too. It saved a lot of time and money

I like getting discount coupons too but it sometimes pushes me to get more food from the fast food chains. If I really want to save up I make sure that I eat at home instead of eating outside. I also reheat foods that were left over from the day before.

great ideas guys!! I have such a hard time with a food budget! we can only really shop at one store as we do not have a car - and we go to the store every 3-4 days!
I hate it! It gets so expensive

For our family now, this is what seems most practical for the food prices that I am seeing where we live.

Pairing coupons with sales or BOGO deals is a great way to save! I love shopping for 10 for 10 items at kroger or bogo items at publix and using coupons to save even more...takes a little planning but is always worth it!!

This may sound overly simplistic, but I've found one of the best ways to save money is by shopping alone. If my wife or one of my kids comes along I'll spend more money because everyone has their pet extras they want (but don't need) to get. If I go by myself I have absolute control over what goes in the cart. When I bring someone else it becomes a participation sport, and that costs extra.

Also, I usually set a fixed spending budget and keep a running tally as I shop, that way I know how close I am to the budget amount. At the end of the trip (and before check out of course) I total the order, and if I'm over budget, I'll put back any items we don't absolutely need. It's amazing in that what you don't have you find you usually don't need anyway. If I'm under budget, I might pick up an extra item or two that we want.

I know that it all sounds kind of absolute, but groceries are one of the few major expenses that we can actually control.
