It is a laundry detergent. It comes in a green and yellowish box
that says "Twenty mule team BORAX" or something similiar. It
sells for under three dollars a box and can be found near TIDE...
usually around the laundry boosters.

Borax has many uses. It is awesome for brightening laundry,
deoderizing trash cans, scrubbing grout, cleaning dishwasher and
garbage disposals. I've been told it has mild disifectant
properties. Anything that you can use baking soda for (except
cooking of course) you can use borax for too. The combination of
the two makes for an awesome cleaner that doesn't have any harsh smell.

You welcome. I have a whole bunch of parsley hanging up now. It's so pretty I almost don't want to use it.

I store my SOS pads in a ziploc bag in the freezer. They last for months and don't get all yucky & rusty.

I put kitchen sponges in the dishwasher. They don't melt and they
come out all nice and clean and sterile. Saves me from buying
extra.

New to this section .... I've really been trying to by my liquid cleaners in bulk concentrate so that I can dilute it as needed and make it stretch. Of course, I have a favorite brand (that I just happen to buy at distributor's prices) but I've also found it keeps me from running to the store to pick up that one cleaning thing and then buying 28 others!

Use Froogle to comparison shop online.

Also, never pay full price for anything. Try the consignment stores for
clothes shopping. The better the neighborhood, the better the goods.

Cut large sponges in half, or even three pieces to reuse.
