Yes, there is a very long waiting list. To apply, send an email to aowebsite@gafundraising.com</span>.

There is another topic about this company here:

You could always set up a separate account that you use just for them. And get a TIN to use instead of your SSN.

HTH,

Last I heard was that they aren't even letting anyone else test right now. They already have 150 people on the waiting list and are telling everyone to check back in Jan 07.

HTH,

Katrina
Thank you for the suggestions; I just don't have the time to do either.

I got my paperwork stating that I can login and start working on 10/1. However, when I try to login it tells me that my account isn't activated yet. Anyone else having the same problem?

I have worked for sales reps at Great American doing appointment setting. I worked for 3 persons at once.(independent contractor) One of the men I worked for still owes me $200 from last year. However - the company Great American is a wonderful fundraising company. If the job is with GA itself doing fundraising its great! If you are going to do appoinment setting - you are doing all the work for the sales people. I would recommend applying for sales job directly with the company. Some other great ones are IFS- Americas Lemonade Stand and The Entertainment Book. I know these companies are hiring in certain areas. I worked for IFS as a sales person quite a few years ago and they paid $35K base salary plus commissions - all work is done from your home with some travel to schools in your assigned territory.

Good Luck!

I don't understand why they wouldn't just send me a pay check or use paypal.

I guess what I'm trying to find out is if anyone else felt this way when filling out the paperwork and should I email Terry to see if there is any other way that I could be paid...just don't want to ruin my chances of getting the job.
It's certainly understandable to be hesitant. Not everyone out there is on the up and up.

Like the others have stated, GAF is quite legit and your banking info is simply for direct deposit. That's their pay preference, which I'm sure you'll grow to appreciate!

I've never had a problem.
