Check or direct deposit. Your choice.

As far as work slowing down, I've said it over and over in this thread that I had two weeks when I was unable to get in my minimum 10 hours due to lack of work. I don't think it is a very common occurrence to have nothing to do.

Hands down, this is the best hourly, non-skilled, work-at-home job I've run across. Though it is through a temporary agency, you just can't do much better than a stint at Google. I'm baffled that people who are looking for something, anything, complain that there may be no work for short periods of time. It's like looking a gift horse in the mouth.

Maybe I see it differently than others, but I'm glad that Google tests people and that they don't just hire anyone who applies (like ChaCha and NewsStand). I was very grateful for the opportunity to work as a Quality Rater because it really helped me pay some bills when my business was slow.

Just my $.02.

Just for the record, I wasn't trying to complain. I stated previously that I was disappointed because I actually had a good chunk of time to devote to Google over the holidays and the opportunities haven't been there for me. I was not able to meet my 10 hours last week and probably won't meet it this week either. I'm disappointed just because I would like the hours. Am I upset? No. And I'm VERY grateful that I've had this opportunity to work for Google. I agree it is an ideal wah job. I feel lucky that I somehow was picked to test and passed. I went into it with the knowledge that there may be times when there was no work. I think you are misunderstanding what some of us are saying. I've since started another wah job anyway so I don't really have much time anyway.

I think that is really great shell78 that you are so greatful. It is gratitude that atrracts the good things to us.

I think it is a bit disappointing for many who are relying on certain incomes not to be able to do the work all the time. But this is the struggle, I guess with any freelance/Wah job.

Keep up the gratitude...more people need to develop it.

Got the prep email on the test, so its coming. Already sounds confusing.

I use the computer and internet quite a bit, but I wonder if this test tests if you're an internet EXPERT . . .you know, like you could easily slide in and be a IT guy/gal at a company somewhere. I don't have THOSE skills!!

I wouldn't worry Greg. My experience with the internet is as a user, not as an IT guy?gal. Just relax and you'll do fine. It seems overwhelming when you first get the materials...but once you get started it's not...and it's actually kind of fun. I really enjoy it.

I have applied for this job yesterday. Was just wondering, how long did it take for those of you accepted, and do they let you know one way or another?

TIA

GregK, Just wondering if you received your testing info yet. I hope all is going as promised. The tests definitely prepare you for the job. I've only been with them for a few weeks, but I really like it and am learning a lot about a variety of topics. Good luck!
