Congrats! I was hoping you wouldn't mind telling me about your background experience and what format you sent your resume. I really would appreciate your feedback. A PM would be great. |

No test for the ads quality rater job. At least, not for me. I believe only the quality rater job (different position) has a test.

Ok, got my rejection letter today.
So, getting ready to apply again. Anyone who has been hired but does not speak any foreign language have any tips on what to put on the cover letter/resume? |

Char, My Bachelor's degree is in English. I have published fiction, non-fiction, and poetry, and I've worked mostly in technical writing and technical editing. I just sent them my normal resume, along with a relatively informal "cover" e-mail discussing how I met the listed qualifications. Hope that helps! |

Is a Bachelor's degree required? I saw on some of their ads that it is but then it didn't say so at their own website listing located here: http://www.google.com/support/jobs/b...py?answer=5382 8 I do not have a degree so I hope I still have a chance.

It sounds like we are in the same boat...I applied for the Ads Quality Rater position, and I received what must be the very same email you did. I talked to my Workforce Logic contact person once by phone. She was helpful and answered my questions about the attached forms that you mentioned. (Of course, she didn't reveal anything about what the job actually IS.) Anyway, I mailed the forms to her, and I'm still waiting for a response. I was also confused, because the email never did come out and say, "You're hired." Should be interesting, right? (For those of you who are wondering, I emailed my resume to google on November 15th, and I got the "Welcome to Workforce Logic" email on November 17th.) |

Wow . . . two days! I put my resume in on Friday, the 17th , got an email acknowledging receipt and then NOTHING. I pasted my resume into the body of my email (vs an attachment) and now I wonder if that was a screw-up. Do they tell you "thanks, but no thanks?" Or do you just never hear back ? Greg

No, I don't think it was a screw-up to send your resume in the body of the email. The google job posting says to send a text or HTML version--there is no mention of the preferred method. I think it was fine to do it that way.

Just to add - I applied last Monday or Tuesday, and got my rejection email yesterday. ![]() Maybe they are just starting to get totheemailsfaster! |

I have a question to anyone working as a quality rater. How long did it take them to send your payment for your testing, and how did they send it (direct deposit, check in the mail)? Ok, I know, that was two questions... Thanks! Shannon
