It seems that Lionbridge only hires for Google outside of the United States. In the US the only authorized companies are WFL and Kelly.

Hi i'm new here, been lurking for a while cause i work for Lionbridge and you all seem to be working for WFL.
I think the answer would be no, because you would be doing the exact same job. LB hires for Google not for Live search.
Now that i finally came out of my lurking closet, i have to say THANK YOU Reading through this thread before applying was so much help and still is after 2 months rating!
I don't work for Lionbridge, so I don't really know other than what I have read here, but....

I initially thought that Lionbridge = Google and then someone posted that Lionbridge = MSN. I wonder if may be Lionbridge does contracting for both?

The 40 page guideline is more useful than this one on a page per page basis, this one is pretty much spam I don't like the fact that they removed the chicken breast recipe example since I applied that to everything hehe.
I agree with NewName, I think the new guidelines are more specific. What I found when I clicked thru the new "spam" links was spam that was in English, Japanese and other languages, I thought it was good. I also found some info in there that I didn't realize and this is my 2nd year as a rater. I and Generally get good report cards (does that really matter don't know).

I think this guideline is more specific and better written. Yeah there is still stuff that isn't spelled out, but since rating is somewhat like a survey they can't please everyone, if they did then we'd be clones.

I have definitely found some new and better stuff in the new guidlines.

that is also what I thought....I also heard that Lionbridge also pays less than Google (Workforcelogic)..I was wondering why not do both at the same time...msn and google ratingEdited by: rjparga

I think that Lionbridge hires for both, they have two positions for Quality Raters on their site. I think the temporary position is for Google while the permanent position is for MSN. I had a friend who worked for Lionbridge. He was a permanent employee and he was rating for MSN.

I have not heard yet either and thought we would by now as last week they sent the 'congrats' email on Thursday. I thought they are busy with the new guidelines coming out and all.

I haven't received the second email yet either. I also assumed they're pretty busy this week.
