Oh, no I didn't mean I was waiting to be selected. I am waiting for my test resulted. I tested with them this past week for the job. You have to pass two tests before you can "be hired" by them. I'm on pins and needles waiting for my test results. *sigh*

Kerrine, I wasn't talking about you I was referring to the people who had applied but hadnt heard anything back yet. However, as soon as you stop thinking about your test results is probably the moment they'll get back to you. It's kind of like how the watched pot never boils. Ladies, I think we need to start a thread by way of a support group for us "Google Rejects". LOL

My former work experience entails years of analyzing data and doing research. Based on this fact, and accounts by those of you who are equally as qualified, but were likewise rejected, I'm suspecting there is some sub-text going on here with their hiring process. Can't put my "finger" on it, but I think something is amiss.

I think I'll refrain from my original plan which was to apply on a monthly basis. I've tweaked the resume'until the proverbial cows came home and now it's all just a case of semantics.

Anyway, I'm really happy for everyone who did get these positions. Those who didn't certainly haven't lost their sense of humour either. I'll take a page from your book.

I'm too old. Google is like EDS, IBM and all those other companies that
want the brightest and the best yada, yada. They also want the
youngest, but of course they're not gonna tell you that...

Now before any other 40-somethings who got hired want to disagree, don't burst my bubble. That's my story and I'm sticking to it... But Leaf, I'd be interested in hearing what your theory is.
