Smile Linux/VOIP Technical Support (Unresearched)

We are seeking a Linux technical support person that wants the ability to work from home. The Linux/VOIP Technical support position hours will be (8am - 5pm PST) although initial training will be at night (8pm - 1am PST).

If you have VOIP experience, that is a plus, if not, we will train.

Your primary responsibilities will be monitoring our customer support queue, replying to customer help requests and maintaining customer and company servers.

** Spanish Speaking a huge plus


Requirements:
- Must be reliable; our business depends on a consistent and punctual work ethic.
- Able to provide extraordinary customer-service through the effective use of communication, problem solving, and multi-tasking.
- Installation, configuring, tweaking, and performance optimizing Apache, Lighttpd, Nginx
- Installation, configuration, tweaking, and performance optimization of MySQL
- Experience with VOIP software such as Asterisk is a plus, although we have the ability to train you.
- Must have a strong grasp of system administration via SHELL and NOT be reliant on control panels.
- A working knowledge of core Windows components including, but not limited to, IIS7, BIND, & MSSQL are preferred, but not required.
- Setup, configuration, general maintenance and troubleshooting of Linux systems.
- Heavy working knowledge of CentOS, Fedora, Ubuntu, Debian, FreeBSD.
- Administration of server hardware.
- Management of operating systems and system applications.
- Respond to service outages.
- Excellent English, both written and oral communication skills.
- Professional demeanor (Be responsive to the requests and follow up on the assigned tasks).

You will learn to setup/troubleshoot VOIP Phone Systems.

You need to have reliable high speed internet at home as well as a quality voice headset (or VOIP Phone).
