Health care outsourcing firm based in downtown Austin seeks experienced copy editor to work on a contract basis reviewing website, brochure, proposal and case study content.
Position will be paid at an hourly rate and will be negotiable based on applicant's experience. We expect that there will be 20 to 40 hours of editing work each month for 3 to 5 months, and then afterwards, our expectation is that the work load will decrease to below 20 hours per month. Requirements: Our ideal candidate will have meticulous attention to detail regarding proper grammar and punctuation and an ability to meet deadlines consistently with minimal oversight. In addition, a Bachelor's degree in English, Communications or Journalism is required, and a Master's degree or Ph.D. in any of these areas is preferred. Copy editing experience is required, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Word programs and AP Stylebook for grammar. This position will not require any commute, and candidate does not need to live in the Austin metro area, although it is preferred.
