Probably because of the phone service you require.

Toktumi is a web based program and offers a free trial.....then after that, I believe it is less than $15 a month, but this project shouldn't go beyond the trial period, and the caller would make $100. It is the easiest way for someone to record their calls so we have proof of the qualified appointment. However, I am open to anyone who has another way of recording their calls so they can provide the appointment recordings.

But if you are hiring someone to work for you should you not provide the way to record the calls? I am sure this is what some are thinking. And I personally would think that this is the way it should be since you are the one needing the calls recorded.

As an independent contractor, that is your responsibility. Check out Grindstone's requirements, I know for a fact they require you to provide your own method for recording your calls and they are very well known and trusted. I have been a work at home contractor for several years, managed virtually for just about as long.
IC's are usually required to provide their own equipment and software.

Thank you to all of those who replied. The position has been filled by an interested person who has previously contracted with us.
