Good evening everyone,
I have applied to Lionbridge, Butler Hill & Leapforce with no response! I have over 11 years in customer service and sales and have extensive internet experience (my last job was with an online media company). Why am I not getting past the screening? I did receive an email for one of the Lionbridge positions, filled out all the paperwork and sent it back with no response. It has been over a week. I am a perfect fit for these positions... I just don't understand why I am not even getting to the testing phase of the application process. Does anyone have any thoughts or insight? Thank you so much! |

It may not be that you're doing anything wrong at all. It's an extremely tough economy still and there is still a lot of competition and applicants.
It sounds like you've got some great experience. There are lots of customer service related positions listed in this section of the forum and new ones are added most every day. I'd recommend searching through this section and apply for as many things as you can. And keep checking back. And keep applying. Hope you get something soon.

One of the things that I have found when applying to work from home jobs is that it can take quite a bit of time. Many times, you will submit an app and not hear back or get hired for months. This has happened to lots of people.
Keep your chin up and keep applying to more positions while you are waiting.

Have you looked at the Google Rater folder on here? You might even want to ask your question over there. It could just be that it takes some time to hear back from them.

It really does take longer to find a work from home job than an out of the house job . There is so much competition. Don't give up .. Keep applying and you will get something

That must be so frustrating but don't give up. Even if you don't hear back now, they will probably keep your information for a future time if you're a good match. Keep us updated and good luck!

It might not even have to do with your experience, but that those companies just aren't hiring in your area. That's the position I'm in. The best you can do is just keep applying, applying and applying.

This may not be the case in your situation at all since it appears they are/were interested in you. It may take a little patience. Keep applying for other positions while you are waiting and don't count on any one to hire you. There are many other people applying for those positions.. possibly hundreds or thousands that feel just as you do with degrees, experience, and all... who are not getting hired either. But that is the type of competition out there now. The company I am currently working for caught me completely off-guard. Like others have already mentioned, I did not even remember I applied for this position as it took such a long time for them to get in contact with me. It was maybe over a month or two! The economy has not gone a lot better and there are many other women like you who are in the same spot. It may just be the competition and nothing wrong with your application. Hopefully, you will get a call soon. Good Luck.

Also, try looking again at your resume or cover letters, for example if they are looking for a telecommuter expand on your previous phone experience, I have learnt a lot from the resume tips and tricks on the top of this forum if that helps any,
