Talking Development Editor 9Unresearched)

Our group develops educational content for highly respected publishers.

We are seeking Development Editors who can write, edit, and develop educational content in the medical and technology fields.

We are recruiting for two separate Development Editor positions.

We specialize in the production of textbooks, testing materials, and online content for the higher education market. Much of our work is concentrated in the life science and computer technology fields.

We are currently seeking professionals with at least two years' experience developing texts for the college-level audience. Qualified candidates must have a proven record of success in working with authors and publishers through all stages of the publishing process, from idea to composition to completion.

Although this is primarily a development editing position, the ideal applicant will also have a strong background in writing and copy editing, as many of our projects require these skills as well.

This is a full-time (40 hours/week) telecommuting position that can be performed from home. However, the person who holds this position must be available to send/receive emails and accept telephone calls during the standard business workday.

Initially, this will be an independent contractor position. Once you demonstrate your skills, a direct position is available. The pay rate is between $18 to $20 per hour.

Requirements:
• At least two years' experience as a primary development editor for higher education products
• Familiarity and comfort in working with scientific and technology content
• Strong emphasis on accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and autonomously
• In-home broadband Internet and email access

Please reply with a resume and explanation of your editing projects. Selected candidates will be asked to complete a development editing test.

How To Apply:
If you are interested in this opportunity, please visit Development Editor - Experienced - Non-Fiction - Higher Ed.

Good Luck!!!

Carlene
