The work from home positions that are posted her are not posted by WAHM. These are posts that fellow wahmers have found and would like to share. Many of these are unresearched. This means that it is difficult to know how long an ad may have been posted before it go here. If it has been up for a while, the company may no longer be responding to apps.
With all that being said, I think that you need to think outside of the box on looking for work from home jobs. Most of the jobs that are posted on work from home forums have thousands of applications. Why not email directly some of the company's or sites that you would like to work for? I know a couple freelance writers who googled for blogs and sites in their favorite topic areas. They then used the contact us page to send a professional looking email asking if the sites use freelance writers. It does not always work, but when it does you could be landing a position that you love.

Each person's situation is different. Like it has been mentioned do you need cash and a job right away or do you have time and some money to spare.
The competition is fierce when it comes to work at home jobs. So many want them and right now even a non-WAH job is hard to come by. If you need regular income and fast then like most pointed out Customer service jobs are easier to come by. I know you do not seemed thrilled about them, but we do what we have to do to make ends meet till something comes along we like. It also will take time so don't get discouraged. For example, prior to leaving my job and moving, I was emailing and calling people left and right for photography related work (my main egg, work harder on this than any job I have had in my life). I was surprised when 6 months later I got an email from one of the people I contacted before. They had some up coming jobs in my area and wanted to work with me. Now I get a few jobs from them monthly. It took some time, to hear back from people but making contacts pays off. If you like tech type work, do you have any experience, certifications, etc.? If so shot me a PM and I can send you a few links to some freelance sites. I have worked for myself in the past, worked for big corporations, and small business. Recently I knew when I moved I wanted to start my own business and work for myself again. It took me 3 years to get where I am today, I worked hard for others and hustled to pay all my loans off. I put myself in a position where I could leave my job and have my own startup and with no debt (just house and living) I do not have to have as much of an income to pay everything. It's a great feeling. You have to find something you like to do and you will be successful at it. Heck you might even find something that you never thought of and really enjoy it. If you are not a point to do what you love or have the time to find it b/c you need money, then set a goal. What do you need to do to get yourself there? You might have to take a customer service job just to get by (believe me I did it for 5 years and not from home). Once you have that in place then set aside 30 mins or more a day learning about what you want to do. Or finding the job that really suites you. Once the pressure is off to find something quick to pay the bills you can relax a little and if you don't get a response right away its no big deal. Sometimes it takes weeks or more to hear back, start putting out seeds. |

All you can do is research, apply, and hope for the best. Months can pass before an application submitted pays off. The waiting game is frustrating.
Are you willing to invest in opportunities. Some of the opportunities suggested here may require fees, such as for background checks, and must be paid for before proceeding. Good luck in your search. |

Wow a lot of good feedback
happy2behome - alright i'll email keysforcash bingonut - I'm not creative at all when it comes to writing haha wahmt - I have 3 years experience in customer service (in person) but I really wanted to get out of that field. I've been fixing computers for years but I don't have any formal training and wouldn't consider myself an expert. Need to WAH immediately, I don't have any crafting/knitting type skills, and yes I'm willing to learn anything new iamanya - you seem like a scam yourself TommyH - alright thanks for the advice, I only have personal experience in tech type work, I don't have any certifications so I won't PM you to waste your time |

Have you considered going to Craigslist under Gigs, then writing. See if you can find remote jobs for writing gigs that you can do from home for individuals or companies.
Set up payment through Paypal and have a resume as well as some work you've done to present. You can look through any city for these jobs, just be on the lookout for (remote) jobs available. I hope this helps ![]() Lori P.

I've been looking through craigslist for remote/telecommute data entry jobs mainly, I think I would be horrible at a writing gig haha. The only writing job I would probably be good at is very harsh constructive criticism because I love being brutally honest, but I doubt that would exist. Good suggestion for someone else though, keep em coming!
