And will you ask that same question of others who post jobs that part of the job may be to post ads for the company? For instance if a recruiter position gets posted for xyz company, part of of that job will be to post ads for candidates on various sites including craigslist I am sure that xyz company is not going to obtain a license so that their ICs can post.

The jobs posted here are no different, they are contracting with companies to post ads, and subcontracting with others. They are not using autoposters such as ezadposter and the like, so they are not using a "3rd party" service to complete their contract. Craigslist cannot dictate who anyone contracts with and by extention these posters are representing the various companies they post for.

I agree with the pp who said that it is up to the 2 parties involved in the work to come to an agreement and have that information in the contract. This particular lady has given alot of people in this community work. She has to date paid on time, everytime. Her clients are happy with her work, those who work for her are happy.

That's the exact concern I was expressing. Thanks for stating it so clearly.

But why wouldn't xyz company obtain a license so that their ICs can post? And why doesn't xyz company tell people about it upfront?

Do you think if you approached Craigslist and asked for permission to hire third party posters, they would turn you down?

I'm just curious why this question about getting permission from Craigslist has turned into such a hot topic and why no one will clearly say they don't have permission from Craigslist to hire Craigslist Posters.

Thanks.

Dana,

I am NOT an adposter, nor do I run any posting service. I do NOT have any agreements in place with anyone because I do not post ads.

My point is by your standards the TOS is broken by several people for many different companies. All the job ads that are posted up here by our awesome members are written and posted by recruiters/managers. It is rare for an owner to do their own recruiting unless its a start up. Are you going to start asking every single one of them if they have an agreement to post on craigslist?

As suggested in another thread, why not ask for a sticky about adposting gigs and be done with it? People are gonna do what they want to do all you are doing is trying to prove a point that really is up for question because unless someone is an owner of a company and not an employee/contractor than by definition they are posting for someone elses interests.

Do you really need to do this in every thread? Like I said in the other one ask admin to make a sticky about the pros and cons of being an ad poster.

I have had positions where I was a recruiter and as far as I know they did not get a license to have others post their job openings. As long as you are offering something legitimate and it is in the proper category CL doesn't seem to have an issue. We never had any ads pulled or our ips banned.

All I asked was:

Do you have express permission or the license agreement from Craigslist to hire third party posters?

and was thinking I'd just get a yes or no answer. I am sorry for the upset that it's caused.

Some people just don't have better things to do. I wish we could "thank" people on this forum.

In my experience in dealing with CL; they could care less if you contact them. They don't return emails and have no direct phone number. And like everyone else states; there is no company that would get a lisense just to post ads. I am sure CL is alot more interested in keeping off the spammers and scammers than responding to inquiries about lisences to post.
I think we should come together as a community, at least we know the people advertising for posters on this forum have legit ads, can't say that for the majority of the ads on CL And we are truly offering some extra money that might really be needed by someone!

Default Seeking!

I need help so that I can concentrate on my site.

I post 10-15 times per day. My competition will flag 80% of my posts. My posts are legitimate, and each is different. The ones that stick are usually gone within 2-4 days, at which point I am ghosted and must avoid posting for 2-3 days.

I need someone who has thier own accounts, and can Relatively work around this UNfair ghosting. Please contact me Asap

Please do not hijack threads like this. You might want to start a new thread so people can see that you are looking to hire.

Thanks!
