Default Does anyone still work for Parameds?

I'm curious as to what others are making here. First there was the screwy "pay scale" that didn't make much sense and now my pay rate is even lower with the new method. You can PM me privately if you don't want to post. Thank you

I resigned from lthe company because training was like picking cotton back in the slavery days. Sorry, but it's the truth! You receive your first check in a month. Are they serious!
I would never go that long without feeding my dog! How do they expect people to live & eat?

I don't know. I'm past training and do get paid. But the checks are just so low that it is play money. I have asked for more work on a daily basis and am declined. I will be resigning soon..I just can't waste the time and energy anymore. The low pay just does not justify the aggravation that goes along with it.
This is something that happened to me last week:
- Finished all my calls
- Requested more work
- Told there was none
- Replied that I was done and am leaving for the day
- One new call popped up on my screen and apparently was 'uregnt"
- Came back the next day to several emails about it, including a note that I would be charged for the neglect and that my screen was my "responsibility".

Apparently I am expected to sit and stare at the computer all day clicking the refresh button and neglecting myself, kids and dog in the process.

I left after a few months - they push for lots of hours with very little pay.

How long ago was that? There is never any work anymore and the funny thing is that they are hiring again.

Default Still Plugging Away

I'm still working away since July of last year. I like the elimination of the TAT system, it was totally unfair. On another forum though, one lady said she had 160 cases, another one said she had 100, I'm lucky if I have 50. I was up to 120 cases last year but took time off at Christmas and I haven't gotten that high again. And now it seems like there aren't as many cases yet they are advertising for new people.....I'm wondering if the people with the lowest TAT get assigned the most cases.

They used to come out with new cases several times a week, now it's basically only Mon. & Fri., or even just one day a week. They do have a new thing where you can split your screen or use two monitors, I would try it if I had more cases. I need this money though as I'm single, I can't give this up unless something better comes along.

Default parameds changes

Bumping for recent input. I've worked for them before I know they are hiring now and know several people who are leaving pay per hour jobs for them so bump for new updated input from people who have gotten a check.

My .02
If you don't have a job and can work 6+ hours a day.
It is time consuming but can work it from a laptop between 8am-8pm est
They decreased pay per case and take off. Long book of rules and is calling schedule every other day on some cases and every third day on some.
If you had to call a huge case load every other day think of the time.

Input from anyone worked for them in past 6 months more than a month.
