I also vehemently disagree with the need for credit checks. They are not relevant to a person's ability to perform the job. And they should be outlawed. I'm glad that there seems to be some movement towards banning them, but it does suck big time and should be illegal to withhold hiring someone who's in bad credit shape--especially in this terrible economy.

Hope it is uniformly banned!

Default Amen say it again!

I agree 100%,and it has done so much further damage to people especially mom's,disabled or anyone. It interferes with work history. Making the applicant appear to a job slacker when it is not their fault they have had trouble getting hired because of credit.
