Default CenturyLink is hiring.

I found this when I was searching; if you live on mentioned states, apply.
It is a good job with benefits; I can't apply because I am in Canada.

Default Sounds great!

I don't live in a state that they hire in, but I hope that it works out for someone! Thanks for posting it and informing all of us!

Prepare yourself if you past the 1st phone interview. The second interview is the normal call center questions and other personality questions thrown in the mix. I used About.com phone interview questions to brush up.

It can take a few days to a month to hear if they're offering you the job.

Be prepared for a quick training time. Good luck.

Good luck all. Looks like a great opportunity! Too bad they are not hiring in my state.

Centurylink is a great company to work for but the downfall is you have to live in their territory and purchase their phone and dsl service. Your an emplayee and you make good money and have great benefits. I worked for them for 6mo and then moved out of their territory so I couldn't keep my job with them, but I do miss it and it is a great opportunity for those who live in their territory and can purchase their services. Don't sweat the interview, they ask me questions on my past customer service experience and a few basic questions on technical support and we did a short role play. The people their were all really nice and do everything they can to help you succeed in the position. They give you 4 weeks of extensive training on technical support. Good luck to all who apply!

The training time has been reduced recently to about 8 days in 2 parts. But I do agree that it's a good company to work for. There aren't many work at home opportunities that included health, dental, vision and 401k benefits.

Thanks for the update on the training time! 6 mo ago it was 4 weeks and I thought it was a lot to learn but they were very thorough and very helpful so everyone could succeed and make it through incubation period.

Hello everyone,

I have worked for Centurylink for a year and a half now. You can work for centurylink anywhere they have service. So you can go to CenturyLink, formerly CenturyTel/EMBARQ | High Speed Internet / Broadband, Digital TV, and Voice and check to see have service in your area.

I work as technical support and the training has changed a lot since I went through. But if anyone has any questions feel free to hit me up.

Sarah
