This "company" if you can even call it that, has nothing to do with actual secret/mystery shopping. They are affiliate marketers that have set up accounts with affiliate sites/vendors so that for every "prospective customer" they send to these companies, they get paid. Online schools and insurance companies are two of the highest paying affiliate deals that a website owner can come across. Be assured that the companies they are asking you to "mystery shop" have no idea that this is going on, and would immediately drop their agreement with "LMTD" and possibly perform charge backs for commissions paid and perhaps even pursue criminal charges for fraud. The other side of the double-edged sword is that they are defrauding individuals by promising to pay, and then not paying them. EVEN IF they paid you, they would be committing fraud against the advertisers, so if you're going to cheat one why not cheat both?

I saw this ad and almost applied, now I'm glad I didn't. It's a shame LMTD is sooo greedy, that they have to cheat honest people. They need to be stopped, but how?

Default Thank you

I am new here. I just did a google search on LTMD and got here. LTMD sent me their info a month ago. I was a skeptic and called the 1 800 650 5582 number without receiving a reply, then I emailed with no reply. I was not going to start the work before talking to someone regarding several concerns. Long story short - When I received the email abaout my first assignment my guard was up, after four calls and three emails without a reply I was pretty sure it was a scam. My last effort before tossing the work material was to try to check out the company and low and behold it brought me to this site. After reading the other complaints it is good to know my instincts were right. The papers are in the trash.

Can't help but think that this along with some very obvious scams are as a result of my application to become a mystery shopper over a year ago. Thank you all for saving me hundreds of telemarker phone calls.

Yes, it is a scam.
I wish I had run across this site before I did any work. I was stupid enough to believe it was valid since they didn't ask for any money up front. I contacted the FTC and copied the email I received into their comments section. I spent about 2 days and I am still inundated with calls. I am now offering to send the call centers the email I was sent so that they can pursue fraud charges if they wish. I may speak to an attorney but I am not sure if that will do me any good, mostly because I doubt the contact info is even legit. I am so embarrassed that I fell for this scam. I will copy it here for those checking out this charade:

Thanks for your quick response and impressive resume.
Market Reporting Group wants to take you on for the
Administration / Data Entry gig that you asked about.
My name is Heather LeClaire, and I will be your associate manager.
Please read the following info carefully so you can get started.

In this email you will see 3 PDF attachments.
The links in these PDFs only work with Adobe Reader, so if you do
not have Adobe Reader, you can go to Adobe.com and download the
newest version of this free PDF reading software.

All the details are in the "QUICKSTART", so have a look there
and feel free to give me a call at the number provided if you have
any further questions.

Next, in the attachment called "Campaigns to Review" you will find
9 different campaigns, along with instructions on how to
complete them.

This whole set takes roughly 2.5 hours to complete and pays $150.

Finally, there is an editable form called "Review Form". This is where
you will fill out your reviews according to the instructions. This
is also what you will need to turn in for payment. Once you have
completed this first assignment, you may request more-as many as 3 at a time.

Work through these according to the instructions as quickly as
possible so that you can get to the begin taking calls and
writing your reviews.

Submit all completed Review Forms to
Reviews@MarketReportingGroup.com with your first and
last name in the subject of the email.

Payment goes out on Fridays for all reviews that were turned in
before the previous Friday. Payment is by Check, Bank Wire or PayPal

After you have completed this first assignment and turned in your
reviews, you can request as many more as you like.
We have some people that do 2 a day and make over $1000/week.
Thanks, and I look forward to working with you!

As of yet I have received 0 responses to my phone calls and emails, including the email requesting more assignments. The email address LTMD gives you to send the Review form is bogus and gets bounced. The email address where I received the "job" offer does not get bounced.
Thanks for taking the time to read my post. I hope it helps others save some time
