Hi ladies i see some questions about the Answering Service Inc. i work there. I have been working there for almost 3 years and i really love my job. I would most definately encourage some or all of you to apply as they are looking for B2B only, you would work on your business during slow periods, and as an operator during busy times, it will pay recurring revenue for the life of the account. One more more thing i need to note, these are great people to work for and i have never missed a pay check from them (one time 2 years ago it was late 1 day because of a holiday), but i never worry about getting my pay check and this is a very important factor to all of us. I work close to 50 hours some weeks, they have plenty of hours if you are interested in working. I do not think i have had a job in my life that i can honestly say i love going to every day. Get your resume together and send to employment@call-serve.com phone # is 7184830378 and if you want to talk to me my name is Mary, hard to believe, but i'm the only Mary there. I really hope this helps those in need of a job from home especially those with little kids
Have A Great Day All PS i'm not personnel: just a worker among workers trying to help those that were nice to me when i was looking for a job |

Hi Ladies..For those that are working there...
Are you an employee or IC? Also what kind of questions they ask when they call you back. I got an email to call and leave message I was still interested, so was wondering how long it takes to hear back. How long does training normally last? Thanks |

Hi....I will do the best I can to answer your questions for you since I do work there...You are an Indepedent Contractor, not an employee. Training can last up to two weeks..it will depend on how fast you catch on and how confident you are to get started with taking calls on your own. When I was called for the interview Rachel asked me what hours I would be available and to basically give her an idea of my general work experience. She then told me the shift I would be working if hired and the pay, etc. The entire interview took less than five minutes......Normally, they do the calling on Fridays or late in the week because the training will probably start early the following week. You have to get your paperwork turned in around the time the training starts so they will have that...I have been with them almost three months and I thank God for just having a job with a decent pay.....If fact, I will be logging in less than two hours for my first shift for today...

I would love to talk to someone who was hired and what their background was. That would be interesting.

I had a good & bad experience with them. I absolutely loved the job but didn't like when the supervisors would jump in on your screen and tell you to hurry up (while you're in the middle of giving a doctor messages they're calling in for) I found that very rude and in all the years I've been working from home (10+ yrs) I've never had an experience like that. I was doing my job and only my job...servicing the doctor.
I never had issues with my pay. It was always correct and on time. My co-workers were great, very friendly. One manager, not so much. I loved that type of work, it was fast paced and ALWAYS busy. The calls were constant!!! No down time, therefor the time always went by fast. I didn't mind working the holidays, and you will be scheduled for them so don't make plans. Even if it's your scheduled day off. One thing about this company, you have to check the schedule almost daily because it gets changed...sometimes with only a few days notice and you're expected to change your personal plans and work that schedule, unless you can find someone to work it for you and believe me, that never happens. That part didn't really bother me, I never had plans but others did and either they changed them or they were let go. It's unfortunate but true. I wish there were other answering service companies that hired at home workers. I'd apply in a minute. Good luck to all who are applying. I hope it works out for you and you like it as much as I did.

I worked there as well for almost two years. I loved the actual job. Most of my co workers were great and I still keep in touch with them. The management staff could be very overbearing. They expected that no matter what was happening, you had to put the job above everything else. I actually spent time in the hospital and they insisted that I work FROM MY HOSPITAL BED or lose my job. Because my hubby was unemployed at the time....I worked from my hospital bed while getting blood transfusions.
These are 99.9% women and all women (including myself) tend to gossip and backstab at times. You also need a really thick skin to work there as well. Good luck! Juli~ |
