We are employers of virtual employees and use MTurk for specific projects. Our take is this...

It has got to work for both the worker and for us. As as long as the worker follows the instructions and has good English, we pay the amount. Even if the work isn't great, if they've made the effort, we pay. And, by the way, we pay within 24 hours of a completed hit, usually within the hour.

With that said, our biggest frustration is people who don't read and follow instructions. For us, that's an automatic block. Can't tell you how frustrating that is for an employer.

It's the same for resumes. We have a system for hiring new telecommuting or freelance workers. If they simply send their resume and don't read our procedures, it automatically goes into the "bit bucket" without ever taking a look at what was sent.

On the other hand, if they follow instructions, EVERY resume is considered.

Just thought you might like to know from an employer's point of view.

I signed up recently to give this a try as a non phone egg. Got approved quickly for my first one. I've done 4 more and they are all pending. I'm moving slow because I'm afraid I'll get a spammer. Looking to make $50/month at this at first. Anyone do this full-time?
TIA

I dont work it "full time" but I do work it every day 2-3 hours a day, I manage to make about 150-200 a week on turk,I do 90% of my work for one requester.........If you find hits you like and can make a decent amount doing I suggest sending the requester a message and see if they will assign hits too you on a regular basis, thats how I am able to get steady work..........

I've had some hits on amazon take up to 3 weeks to be approved. I don't really mess with Mturk much anymore, it was the first site that I started making money online from. Mturk didn't keep me intrested so, I just focus on my writing now.
