OK, a few common questions propped up so I thought I would go on to clarify a couple of things.
1) Number of hours/week. Well, a minimum of 10, probably more like 20+ per week. There will be times when we will be extremely busy. 2) Work hours/availability. We have workers all around the globe so I am online most days from 8AM to 1AM EST. No, not a typo. I work 17 hours/day usually. At least 12 on Sat/Sun. That is partly why I want to outsource even more to reduce the load to manageable levels. I already have 8 outsourcers as it is. Oh, the point I was making Well, if I give you an assignment on Monday, it should be done on Tuesday. If you are not around Monday for enough time to get it done, the assignment will go to the next available person who is. That's why the hours will vary a bit. Sometimes I give long term assignments that can keep someone busy for a couple of weeks. Then, it does not matter what time of day you do the job.3) I expect people to work like I do. Well, probably not, but I expect people to work quickly and efficiently, not like this: get the assignment, go out for a smoke, work for 3 minutes, go get a snack, pass by the tv and watch a few, come back, do some more, get bored, look out the window at the birds picking at the lawn, etc, etc. You have no idea how much of this nonsense I've already dealt with. Please, if you don't think I know how long it takes to write a generic article, configure a WP blog (with our step-by-step videos no less), post a comment, register at a forum and get a link, then you are kidding yourself. I am not trying to be harsh here, I just want everyone to understand that this is serious business for us and our clients are very unforgiving. They are "we want it done yesterday" and "why isn't it making money, you installed the blog 12 minutes ago!" type of crowd. And yes, we really do create 500+ websites a month. 4) I have so many things going on at the same time, I cannot chase you around to find out if you are finished to give you another assignment. As I already said, I have at least 8 other outsourcers, a local crew, and 20 other things going on at the same time. I need someone who will own their own corner of our business and keep it running smoothly. I hope that last bit made sense ![]() OK, hope we haven't bored anyone. Any questions, let it rip! TomG. Hello All!
OK, I've lined up the tests. I am not a something for nothing type of guy, so whoever replies and writes me a test article will get what our writers get, $5 for the 450 word test article. That way, you did not come away with zero at least. Oh, almost forgot. You need a PayPal account to accept payments from us. That should be pretty standard, so I don't think it's an issue, but I mention it anyway. Other notes: I'm slow with the PM replies because there's a time restriction between replies and I have around 45 PMs. Also people have asked about the AntiVirus program I mentioned. If you have Norton Internet Protection, or Avast and/or ZoneAlarm, you should be fine. I've had all of those. Kaspersky has protected me when the others failed. I don't have a need to start an AV vs. AV war, so what you have is fine as long as it is up to date and running. Well, that's all for now. Thanks for all the replies. I'm sure we'll find the right people here. TomG. |

One member seemed upset about my saying this: "If I like the article, I'll send you $5 regardless of whether you get the position or not." The problem seemed to be about the phrase "if I like". Sheesh, I guess this comes under the heading "You can't make everybody happy no matter what you do." I won't pay for an article that's really bad, I'm sorry if someone finds this unreasonable. So don't send me anything, it's really OK.
On a much more positive note, some of you sent back the articles in record time. Wow, that was FAST! Go WAHMS!! TomG. PS - The complainer was a guy, so not even a WAHM All the women are 100% positive so far!
