Hi, I submitted 25 answers and got an email asking what my imshopping user name to review to become a guide, but then I never heard back- that was several weeks ago. Am I just out of luck or are they not hiring anymore. Thanks!

No - not out of luck. The Community Manager (Kim) is sending out invites, weekly. She only sends out so many at a time, because then she sets up online training. Just keep up the good work, and keep answering!

Bumping back up

I have been receiving a lot of questions of how IMShopping works, so I thought it would be helpful if post it all here.

You would start out as a Community Member, and answer questions (see the link in my signature, to sign up).
When you see a question, that interests you, go ahead and click answer (if there is already an answer, that is okay, the more answers, the better, as that gives more chances to win 'Best Answer').
When you click answer, a box will open up, where you can type your recommendations, and add products. It is nice to personalize the answers a little, so if you have used the product, or want to - tell them.
Once you're done with your answer, click Submit, and that question is done.
If your answer is voted 'Best Answer', you get $2.00 (not bad for a few minutes of your time!). When you reach $40.00 in your account, you can either cash out to PayPal, or choose a gift card (your choice).

Once you have answered 25 questions, and if you are giving good answers, you will be considered for the Shopping Assistant / Guide position, where you are employed as a Contractor. Shopping Assistants / Guides are guaranteed pay for every question answered (cash out is $20.00), and get bonuses for answers that receive positive feedback (thumbs up) or winning 'Best Answer'.

Also, there is currently a Best Questions contest. Simply go to IMShopping or Twitter us at @imshopping and post your questions. Your question could be selected as our “Most Interesting’ or “Most Active” question which means you can win $50. You must ask 10 questions per day to enter. Contest will be awarded weekly, and goes until further notice. You will have the choice of a gift card or cash. Get those questions in!
