For me, just keeping a resume simple and 1 page will say it all. That's what I've learned from my past job. Just plain and detailed but short is okay.

There are lots of of things to remember when crafting a resume. A vital thing to remember is to tailor your resume to the job you're applying for. Every time! Many of us have so many experiences on the job, we're much better served in pulling only those experiences that the job description (or job posting) lists. This way, the hiring agency doesn't have to sift though a lot of experience that isn't relevant to what they're looking for. (Most hiring agencies won't bother, anyway. If they have to try too hard to figure out if you're the right person for the job, they'll just move on to the next person.)

Pay attention to details. With the mounds of resumes in hiring managers in-boxes today, a simple typo can get yours tossed. If possible, another set of eyes must scrutinize. Meaning, have someone else proof your work. If applying for WAH, make sure you mention your home office equipment/set up.
