Hey was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this "job offer". My gut tells me its a scam, but they haven't asked for any of my money. I'm going to paste their emails to me - rather than summarize. I would appreciate any insight anyone has!! It is somewhat lengthy, but please read to the end. The emails I got are in quotes. Thanks so much!

Thanks for the email , And also for the answers given to me , After going through it , I would want you to know that you fit for the job ahead . Thus I will be stating the details of the job to you below :

Our company is currently seeking a representative in the USA , Who will help us distribute documents to clients on a regular (3-4 times weekly) .

The person who will be employed will serve as our office in the USA , and thus help us transmit information and other confidential documents from us to our clients .

Details :

1) You would receive documents in bulk from our office, The Document will come in 1 single package .. And can contain as much as 250 different letters and documents .

2) You are to help distribute the documents to individual clients , So you would be serving as a channel , 1 package comes to your house via mail ( POST ) , You distribute via UPS/FEDEX to each details we give you example : You get 50 Letters from the headquarters , You are to send each letter to different Name and Address given to you by me or any of our Managers .

3) some of the documents which you get will need some typing done on them , So the company would provide a Typewriter ,Scanner and printer ( FREE , Its going to be a company property )

Why we need a Rep/Dispatcher :

And if you wondering why our company is considering to work in this manner, This all because of expenses and also time , To send 1 single package to the USA from India cost about $140 and it takes 3-4 days for delivery on express, But if we have the package sent to you before hand , We would send a package for less than $500 which will be delivered in 4 -5 days . After you get the package , You send packages to clients via NEXT DAY AIR which cost about $60-$70 depending on location .

I think you can see that the job cuts cost and also time .

I emailed back wanting to know who was paying for these shipments and this is the reply I got:



"Thanks for your email , Concerning the mode of payment of your wages , You will be paid $150 via Western Union , So you get your fees in cash .

And concerning mode in which the shipment will be billed . All shipping are billed to our UPS / FedEx account . So all you will be doing is droping them off at the UPS drop box .

Do get back to me if you have any more question , So we can proceed .

Did you take a look at their website Raymond They seem to be a legitimate company, but the job sounds fishy. You might want to check them out at BBB and Rip Off Report websites.

One thing that struck me right off--although it could mean nothing--is that for a woman named Bridget Hall, her English writing skills are barely marginal.

And that salutation...attn applicant?

I did a little research i found : Raymond hired me to be a check dispatcher, and he emailed me a picture of a cancelled check belonging to a real person.

I think he must have the login info for someone's bank account. He downloaded the image of a cancelled check in order to see the victim's signature, and ordered some new checks to be sent to me and his other dispatchers. Then I'm supposed to write checks and forge the victim's signature.

I PMed a mod to warn the victim. If I don't hear back from the mod soon, I think I'll call the vic myself, since it seems to me that time is of the essence.

Here's the most recent email I received:

Dear Applicant ,

How you doing ? We have come to a conclusion and will be willing to hire you as our new rep in the USA , But we will like to let you know all that is involved , Before we proceed . As earlier stated , We are looking for a person who will help in DISPATCHING documents .

And we are also looking for a person who is trustworthy and will be able to keep confidential documents away from third party . Because most of the document you would be getting will be in Bank Documents ( Our Company check ) .

That's why we looking a person who will be able to handle a typewriter properly, In the sense that he/she would TYPE , details we want into the bank documents e.g AMOUNT TO BE ISSUE , PAYEE NAME , DATE and any other things needed. Please get back to me if you would be able to handle this aspect . And so that we can conclude and you start work asap .
