Job Title: Tea blogger Date Posted: 2008-03-20 Description: I sell tea at Tippyleaf.com and I need someone to write the blog. Someone with an informal, personal style that makes the blog fun to read and communicates a real love for tea (so you need to love tea). The job pays US$400 per month, for which I would like 8 posts each month, each of 250-500 words (the word count is not paramount). Topics would include tea types, tea areas of the world, tea in culture, tea paraphernalia such as biscuits etc. I can give you ideas, and you will also come up with your own. We already have a blog but it is too dry andI don't enjoy reading it, so why would anyone else! You need to be comfortable using Wordpress and working from home. Contact Method: tippy@tippyleaf.com

Hi, Ladies, I thought you might be interested in reading this. It's feedback from James who posted the ad, and was recruiting for a Tea Blogger. The pay is decent, relative to most blogging gigs, however -- James seems to think he's either recruiting for PhD candidate calibre academic research, or hiring for a CEO position. Though he has some valid points he seems a tad hyper critical, IMHO. Note that the blog has not been updated. I take this to mean he has yet to find the Crème de la crème of Tea Blogger. So good luck! http://tinyurl.com/387rv3 |

James must be darn picky. He advertised at Deb's blog, ProBlogger, The Golden Pencil, FreelanceWriting.com and others - a month ago. I don't know if that's the kind of person I want to work for when you consider the best probloggers in the world must have responded to his ad and they weren't good enough. Hey James...why are the WAHMs your last resort? Edited by: WahmWriter |

As WahmWriter posted above, he could have tapped in to a pool of talented writers (adding milk to their Earl Grey Tea notwithstanding!). James -- hire, if that's your intent,or get off the (tea)pot. Your reputation will begin to precede you. Felt compelled to offer up some feedback to you, asyou were inclined to do for those of us whose time was squandered in applying for this questionable position. |
