Hi Lisa,

You need to go into the main page of the folder. Go up to Forum Tools. There you can choose Subscribe to this Forum. It will then take you to a screen to choose what type of notification you want (daily or weekly updates).

Why cant we get notification everytime something is posted to a particular thread like with the old forum.....not just daily. Is this possible?

Do you mean an individual thread or a folder? You can get instant notification for individual threads. When you're within the thread, go up to Thread Tools and click. There will be a dropdown where you can choose "Subscribe to this Thread." Click on that link and it takes you to a screen where you can set up immediate notification.
