I hope that dang ad won't be running much longer and it would be nice if in the future they would refuse those type of ads.

glad to know it was not just me, and I forgot you can block ads with firefox, I had my ad blocker turned off because of some of the surveys and other stuff I do you kinda of need it on and I did not want to mess with blocking only certian things, last time I did my fiance had to come in here and figure what it was I did because nothing was working I dont mind ads for the most part, except it has been my experience that every once in awhile they contain virus or other malicious things, every once in awhile over at myspace I get one that tries to take over my whole computer, thank goodness for virus protection. I have never had that happen here, but anyway that one that drops down was just getting annoying

Default No rollovers

I posted my rant about that ad in another post I don't feel we should have to do anything special to prevent that add from grinding on our last nerve.

Advertisers should not be permitted to POST such an ad.

Note: I downloaded adbloc and still am getting the rollover?

Get rid of that AD....

I wouldnt use their services at this point if they paid ME

I am glad I am not alone on this!! Guess I need to find that ad blocker for my FireFox. I agree though, we shouldn't have to.

Angry Easycontact ad is so aggravating!

Totally agree that we shouldn't have to find a way to block all the ads... these type of super-irritating drop-down ads should NOT be allowed on this site. I wonder how many people are just staying away from WAHM.com for now due to the aggravation of that Easycontact ad?

Anyway, does anyone know a way to block these ads in Google Chrome?

Candle Claire - which Mac browser are you using?

I wonder the same thing. I feel since the site change there is less traffic. Then when those who come in for the first time may get aggravated by that ad and never come back. They won't think to look for a post about how we can get rid of it.

I finally managed to block it but if even the admins of the site tell us to block the ad then that just is more proof that the ad should NOT be allowed to advertise on the site in that manner.

Just to be clear - I have absolutely nothing to do with the advertising of this site. I suggested using the FF add-on to block it because I knew how annoying it was to me personally and was thrilled to find that it could be blocked. So I thought it would be a great way for those who wanted to stick around but hated the ad to enjoy their experience here instead of dealing with that ad constantly.

Whether it should be allowed here or not is in no way up to me and my posts suggesting to block it should not be taken as a suggestion one way or the other about whether the ad should be allowed here. This site has to make money and it is up to the owner how to make money and what should or should not be allowed here in terms of advertisements.

I'd like to know too because I have the ad blocker on, but whatever option I'm using in FF only blocks pop-ups. Too strange because I was just wondering today if there was a way within FF to make that ad disappear!

Which ad? The Easy Contact ad has been gone for about two months or so. Is there another ad that's doing the same thing? I don't have the ad-blocker on any longer, but I'm not seeing any other ads that pop out like the EC ad did.
