Hello, curious from CA

Hi everyone.
My name is Shyleen.
Im 23, mother of 2, soon to be 3!
For Christmas I recieved a gift from my mother in law, it was a warmer and melts from Scentsy, Im not a fan of warmers but the melts were great, the smell was awsome!
Im a candle fanatic and Im peticular about my candles.
I love a strong scent that carries through large areas that doesn't fade 10 seconds after its blown out. I guess thats initially what brought me here.
Ive tried to sell for another pretty popular candle company and I failed miserably.
I was spending more then I was making and no one seemed to impressed with the candles (neither was I), makes me wonder how they get so many people to sell them....?
I don't like being naive, or working my booty off for pocket change.
Not sure if I could be successful or not, I dont have many friends, and most of my family lives far away from Cali, but I guess you can only sell to friends and family so many times lol.
So I guess I'm just curious about this company and what makes it different from the others.

Hi Shyleen! I bet you are not a "fan" of warmers yet because the right one for you hasn't made itself known to you yet I was also one a fan of the ambiance of flame and flicker. I realize that while pretty, it flame and flicker isn't what scents the house - the wax is the magic ingredient there and I have also found many times the scent lingers long after a warmer is turned off.

I think there are many reasons why people are successfull with Scentsy, but here is my thought for today...lol. I think people enjoy the variety of scents they choose from and the fun in changing them out whenever they want.

If you think about buying jar candles for your house it can get pretty expensive and you don't get a lot of variety. For example, a medium Y brand jar candle is $21.99 so if you were to put one in the living room, kitchen, bath, and one bedroom you have $87 invested in jars with one scent in them. You feel like you have to use them up, since you spent so much money, and you get bored with the scent.

With Scentsy you get your initial warmers set up in your rooms and you can change your scent daily in every room if you want. I rarely have a customer buying one bar at a time. Customers love to go through the bars and pick out a handful and it's fun to be able to change your scent according to your mood. You can also mix the cubes to create unique scents.

Also, people love the variety of warmer designs. It's more of a decor item as opposed to a jar with a label that doesn't match your decor at all.

Hi Shyleen!

I think there are many things which makes Scentsy different from all other candle companies. One, like Loretta said, is of so many wonderful scents. I have a warmer which is part of the decor of my family room . When I want to change the fragrance, all I do is pop in a new scent.

Family and friends are a great place to start but like you, I don't have many family and friends who I can depend on to host a Scentsy party. I love Scentsy because it is an easy sell - carry samples and catalogs and simply talk to people. At the bank, the grocery, your child's daycare - anywhere were there is people. You'll find that people will approach you because they have experienced and love Scentsy! Its absolutely amazing.

Another thing is that Scentsy is constantly evolving. We have 2 catalogs each year and each month a new scent and warmer. Each season, there are wamers and scents retired. Some scents return with the season because they are so popular. Plus Scentsy REALLY listen to the suggestions they receive from their Consultants and Customers. And the training and support from Scentsy is awesome!

For me, Scentsy is simply matchless in value!

Hello Shyleen!! I completely understand about being sceptical and all. Before I joined I read every page and every post on here before I made up my mind but I am soooo glad that I joined!!! This is an AWESOME opportunity and everyone at Scentsy really cares about all of the consultants!!
