Does anyone know how to get a foot pedal to work with quicktate? Or at very least hot keys that you do not have to click outside of the text box to make work?
Thanks! |

I would love to know this also. As far as I know there is no way to use a foot pedal. I have seen some shortcuts mentioned in earlier posts. Sure hope they upgrade some day.

As far as I know and have ever been told, there is no way to use a foot pedal with Quicktate. There are hot keys that work but only if you downgrade your Firefox back to a much earlier version. There are old versions, like version 3.6.3, in which you do not have to click outside of the box and then back inside to be able to type. The hot keys only work if you don't click anywhere on the screen before you begin typing. You would have to download this version of Firefox and then set it not to update automatically to be able to use the hot keys. Here's a link to the thread that tells what the hot keys are and a link to download the older version of Firefox.

When I down graded to that version, the sound files would no longer play. Any idea why? I'm not really all that tech savy.
Thanks! |
