Hey everyone -
This is my first time posting here, but I've been lurking for quite some time and wanted to say this forum has been a huge resource for me over the past year or so. I've been working for QT for almost a year now on a very part time basis. The past few months I've been able to put in more hours (though still part time), and yesterday I received the long-awaited email that I'm being hired on to work for iDictate. Yay!
I do have a couple of questions for those who currently work for iDictate. First, the materials they sent out mentioned they would figure your earnings and a check would be sent out. I was under the impression that iDictate paid via PayPal the same way QT does. I'm thinking maybe their handbook is outdated, but wanted to see what others say about this.
Second, I noticed it says we are supposed to email Julie each day with the specific hours we will be able to work the next day. This seems to cut down quite a bit on the flexibility, and I'm wondering how strict they are about this. I'm not always sure exactly what hours I will work each day, but I do set goals for how much work I want to get done, then work varied hours throughout the day to get that work done. With QT I set word goals and work off and on until they're reached. Do those of you who work for iDictate email Julie every single day with the next day's hours? If so, what do you do if you're able to log on earlier than you thought, or if you want to work later?
Sorry for all of the questions. I'm
really excited to finally start working for iDictate, but also a little concerned about having less flexibility in my schedule. Thanks in advance to those with information to share!
