Default Question of the Week 2012: best mistake??

What's the best mistake you ever made? You know.... the mistake where even though you knew u shouldn't...u did any way and thing ended up better than in the beginning?

My biggest mistake was quitting my job and starting to paint. I knew I shouldn't... but if I hadn't ... I wouldn't have changed my life for the best!

Starting and ending my previous business. I wasn't very "successful" but I learned a lot about myself and gained a lot of self confidence.

I'm not sure it was the "best" mistake I ever made, but it's way up there. Sticking around too long at my previous business. Like babysigns, I was never really successful, and I wasted time and money staying there. But had I left sooner much than I did, I wouldn't have found my current business. It didn't exist until a short time prior to my departure from the other company.

Default I don't really have any big Mistakes

I did many different company's before I found my home. They were all a learning experience and I don't regret it or dwell on it like others appear to do . I am 10 times more thankful for the amazing company I work with now. I know the grass is not greener anywhere else. Its all Trial and Error.

okay... Maybe baby #3 was a oops but definitely the best mistake ever

Some of the best mistakes are what lead me to my new business opportunity, my life took so many turns and finally steered me in a direction I wasn't intending to go, but its better then where I was headed

That would have been back when I joined a different MLM. I found it by replying to an ad where the person was selling an elliptical machine (which we still have) and I saw that they had a full office in their home and nice home, boat, etc. and after talking to them found out they did this business from home full time. I was like "wow, it IS possible!" So I joined.

Since it was selling a service where people had to take money out of their pocket, it didn't work for me because that's just not me. BUT I learned that making a living with an MLM business IS possible and I learned a lot about MLM in the 3 short months I was with that company! Was not the biz for me and I lost money - but I learned a lot of great things!

Hmmm... probably my best mistake, professionally speaking, was to depend too much on working for a content mill. When said mill crashed and burned, I was left floundering, but it was just the incentive I needed to market myself and get some private clients! Now I'm working the same number of hours as before, but with much more satisfaction and a higher income, to boot.

Default I've Embraced My Mistakes

You live and learn! We are all evolutionary and are better today than yesterday for the things we did in the past. They say you learn more from mistakes than the things you did right. If I'm going to pick the best mistake, it has to be the first "mistake" I made. To me, mistake meaning something that happened that I didn't plan on happening. To me, that's a mistake: when things go unplanned. So, best mistake was when I got pregnant halfway into my second year of college. Boy did that throw a monkey wrench in my plans! My whole life until that point was go to school so I could have a good career and then marry and start a family.

I ultimately did finish school after taking just a year off. However, I seeked work from home during that first year back to school because having a baby early in life put us down a path of wanting everything quickly and that meant accumulating debt even quicker. Because the debt accumulated, I wanted to help contribute but couldn't work a normal job because I was going to class online and couldn't do school and work (at least I thought I couldn't). So just that one moment when the BF and I were.....you know....that was the best mistake. It lead me down a road to self discovery and while that first work at home venture wasn't for me, this one I'm in now definately is and I'm ready for it to grow me even more!

This might sound weird but the guy I was in a relationship with before I met my husband. I knew he was totally wrong for me and it wouldn't go anywhere but stayed with him. If it wasn't for staying with him and him stressing me out I would have never went away to Vegas for a couple weeks where I ended up meeting who I believe is my soul-mate.
