Do you gals all recycle and how much do you recycle? Just plastic? Aluminum cans? I do not recycle as much as I should. I would like to hear what the rest of WAHM does?

I don't recycle as much as I should either. I just get frustrated with trying to find a spot to keep it all and the kids aren't really old enough to know where to throw the things so it all ends up in chaos anyway. I do try to recycle aluminum cans at least for now. When the kids get a little older we will probably try again.

I recycle everything from plastic containers to soup cans to cardboard boxes. Our city has a great recycling program and we have a recycling cart we take out to the curb once every 2 weeks. I just have a stand with clear recycling bag on it outside my patio doors so it's very easy to throw things in the recycling bag, then once a week empty it into the cart outside.

Our city also has a really good program - I don't even have to separate anything! So I try to recycle a lot. The hardest part is keeping my 16-month-old son out of it, because he has discovered that some really great toys can be found in there!!
I think it does depend on how your city does it, that can make it incredibly easy, or very difficult!

Our city gives us a big green trashcan for recycle and they pick up every 2 weeks. We do not have to sort anything either. So we have an area in the laundry room to stack recycles and when we go out to the garage we grab stuff on the way out.
We recycle, glass, cans, plastics, cardboard, newspapers and magazines. We could do better for sure because not all tissue boxes or toilet paper and paper towel rolls make it to recycle.
But, we are working it.

We're proactive in my family. Cardboard, paper, glass and plastic bottles, etc. We get a home pickup every other week. We should all do our part to make this world a better place. As the old saying goes, "If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem."

Yes, we recycle plastic, cans, newspapers, cardboard. Our town picks it up every 2 weeks. I also will recycle other items that are usually picked up or we can take to a spot especially things that are large - computers, old appliances, toys etc.

Default Recycling...

I came from CA 15 years ago to an area that has no recycling program in place. It actually took time to get used to NOT recycling. If I really wanted to, I could save my recyclables and drive 90 miles to the nearest recycling place. There is a closer city that has some recycling, plastic & newspapers I think. However, since I don't live in that city, I have to purchase special recycling bags from the city, fill them, and then bring them back to their recycling centers. It is extremely inconvenient.

I guess I'm not as "green" as I should be or I would.

Actually not only papers, empty bottles etc. you can recycle. But also some toys, clothes, books and other stuff as long as it is still can use.. We can save all those thing and donate it to the poor people who need things.. Don't just throw it, many people don't have good clothes.. So better to donate it than to throw it.
