The best thing for me was to use Mark Joyners Simpleology 101 - it's free but very effective in helping you to set clear goals and focus on them.

Apart from that, you just need to remember to make each action count - don't get caught up in surfing for surfing's sake - I wasted so much time procrastinating in the beginning.

Strong deal of Patience is a must in an online business because it's hard and very challenging to manage a virtual employees not to mention if they are from different time zones.

This is very true. Online based companies won't work if the head/manager is not patient enough. I should know.
