No way. Do you still age? Or would aging be a longer process. What I would like to do is live a long time, but have the aging process slow down. Or maybe we don't have to age. I don't want to be throwing my hip out for 50 years. That would suck. Have you seen "Death Becomes Her"? That would be great, until they start falling apart! But I still wouldn't want to live forever! Thats too too long!

This is sort of like the question "Would you want to be ultra-rich?" Like that, it would have its drawbacks.

Our mortality is what defines us and makes us appreciate life. Take that away and you remove a crucial element to being human.

It might be fun for a few decades, but like living in an area without seasons, it would get old after awhile.

This thread makes me want to watch Highlander (the movie).

Death scares me. It never did until I saw my Grandmother, a VERY devoted Roman Catholic who was 89-years-old look at me in the hospital a week before she died (Jan 2009) and tell me that she was scared to die, because you can have faith, but you just don't ever know what's going to happen. This shook me to the core! If you would have known the woman, you would understand. She was always very firm in her beliefs. I am a Christian, but I am also human. I nevere realized how much this affected me until just now. WOW!

Therefore, right now, my answer would be live forever. I need more time to ponder.

Arrow Live Forever - No Way!

I am a born again believer and know that I will spend eternity with Jesus in Heaven. So no, I'm not afraid to die and there is no way that I would want to live forever. This world is not our home. When you can live on streets of gold, why would you want to hold on to this fickle life?

You bet! But I would want to chose who I lived with and where - which would be in Heaven with my family and friends!

I believe that we actually do live forever, just not in the same body. Once we've led this life and it ends, we go back to non-physical.

As for living in this body forever, I wouldn't want to do it.

I wouldn't want to live forever in a world that's full of violence, greed etc. I used to be afraid of death until my aunt recently passed away from cancer. I just look at death like sleeping. You don't know what's going on..you don't feel pain and the after life (whatever it is) will come quickly just as if you went to bed and next thing you know it's morning again.

I lost my fear of dying a long time ago. I believe we live forever one way or another anyway so, yes, I do want to live forever. I'm looking forward to my next journey while still radically enjoying this one.
