Default Any good books?

I don't read as much as I used to but I think it's good brain exercise. Just wondering what other people are reading.

Right now I'm on The Titans, book 5 of 6 of the Kent Family Chronicles by John Jakes. It's also known as the American Bicentennial Series. I find it hard to put it down.

I have read ever book that Dan Brown (DaVinci Code, Angels and Demons, Deception Point, Digital Fortress) has written and I'm now on The Lost Symbol. His books are FANTASTIC, IMHO.

I highly recommend him to any fan of DC or A&D.

I'm a really big Nora Roberts fan. I'm currently finishing book 3 of the Three Sisters trilogy that I borrowed off a friend.

Sounds interesting, never heard of it. Is he the author of North and South which became a mini-series? I've read some other books that were set after the Civil War but never read his because I didn't know about him. Most of what I read are recommendations from friends and family. Thanks!

I never even seen the movies but I prefer to read a book before seeing the movie anyway. I might have to put him on my list. Honestly I'm clueless about DC and A&D, only have a vague idea as to what the books are about. Thanks!

Do you have any favorites? I remember enjoying her TV movies back on NBC.

Yes. It's the same person. North and South is probably my favorite miniseries - ever. It's based on his books, although many liberties were taken with the story when it was written for the screen, which is usually the case. I won't give away anything, but I will say that Orey Main's story is quite a bit different in the books, and several characters in the miniseries just aren't in the books at all.

There's a sequel to N&S called Heaven and Hell, which is also good, although not quite as good as N&S 1 and 2..

He has a writing style that makes it so interesting. A very talented author, and I highly recommend his books.
