Smile Time for yourself?

Okay, so does anyone every take time out for just you? I find it very difficult sometimes to do this every day. It's always been an issue for me though. I am always on the go and never have time to just relax. That's why I've started taking the iniative to make CERTAIN that I spend some time outside or doing my toenails, or riding my bike/running. I feel like I just want to work, work, work, especially because I have quite a few projects to work on and I also have school work. So, I feel like I'm starting to become a workaholic now. Lol.. For instance, I am about to walk outside to fish with the boys and my SO, but I am only planning on being out there for an hour, b/c I have work and schoolwork to do. So, I'm forcing myself to relax before I get started, especially b/c if I don't, they "nag" me. :-) Does anyone else have this problem?

Crystal

Default Make time for yourself

I am always busy with my kids, their school, church, family stuff, whatever. It is very hard to take time for myself. When I am "alone", it's usually because I've got my husband babysitting while I run to the grocery store.

I joined a bridge club several years ago. I never knew how to play anything but gin rummy and solitaire, but the ladies in the club have taught me and I can play pretty well now. I play once or twice a month. It gives me a couple of hours where I am not running errands or taking care of kids. It's a great social time for me. Sometimes I dont care if I even play cards. It's just nice to get out of the house and away from reality for a couple of hours.

Yesss!!! With my first DD I didn't take time out for myself as much, but now with 2 DDs I find that 20 minutes here and there is life-saving... and if I DON'T take a little time for myself to get settled before doing any work I'm not as efficient or fun to be around for sure. Taking time for ourselves is SO important!

I take time VERY early in the morning (about 4:00am - 5:00am) to just sit, read a few emails, read some online newspapers, and basically wake up. Then it is up and at it. My children are now gone from home, and I truly admire the mom's here who juggle their work and children at the same time!!!

Having time for myself is something I'm dreaming now as the beginning of the school year was VERY difficult for my family - moving, changing work, etc. So I agreed with my family that at the end of October I'll have one week for myself. I'm planning to take some books, coffee and maybe my laptop and disappear somewhere.

I take time out every day for meditation and prayer, which I know some people regard as "time for just you".

I guess a shower is me time. Other than that, it's work and more work. Hard enough to get work time let alone me time.

I really love my work and being with my girls. I don't think I really feel like I'm missing any "me time." My husband smokes and every evening, I go hang out with him in his "man cave" after dinner, and that feels like "me" time, too. I know a lot of people feel like they need time alone, but I'm not one of them. I really feel like every minute is mine, most days.

Default Time for myself

I believe that taking time for myself is important. Just like some of you I take time for myself early morning.

I have my morning ritual, during that time I meditate, do my exercises, read a book or listen to a tape. I spend about 1hr doing this. I learned this from a course I did "Wake up Productive" by Eban Pagan.
It really set the tone for the rest of the day & I am so much productive when I follow my ritual. 85-90% of the time I do this.
I wake up early to do this, otherwise I will net have time to do it.

Iam extremely busy with my son, my boyfriend and working I rarely find anytime for me time. It seems like I am always on the go. I would love to have a day all to myself to do whatever I want.
