On the internet - via AOL, when AOL was the only thing going. We went to the same high school though, and met when we were living 900 miles apart!

We ended up sitting beside each other during the class. He asked me out afterwards. The rest is history.

What is your story?
What a fun question!

Well, first of all - I'm embarrassed to say I've been married TWICE before - I met my first hubby when we both worked together in a group home for mentally challenged folks. The marriage was very short-lived (just a few months), as he was abusive - we were together long enough for me to get pregnant with my only son.

My second marriage - my 3 daughters' father - I met him at my friend's house, as her folks owned an apartment building and HE was a tenant. I was a single mom with a 2 y.o. when we married - we remained married for over 20 years, but after being 'controlled' and not allowed to pursue more education or a career, among other issues - we divorced about 10 years ago.

THEN ... I met Dave through online dating (glad to see I'm not the only one!) - LoveAccess - I was born and raised in NH, he has lived in Maine all his life - we chatted online for about a month (Dec. 2002), exchanged photos, then he asked if he could call me on New Year's Eve - we "rang in" the New Year together ... THEN ... he drove to NH to meet me (
in a snowstorm!) on Jan. 4th, 2003. We visited back and forth between Maine and NH for a few months - then, since I was between jobs, he asked me if I wanted to move to Maine. We have been together ever since - got married on Feb. 11, 2006 - and he is truly the love of my life (third time's the charm!)

I meet my husband to be when he was coaching my son's football team. We starred at each other all summer, too afraid to speak and then finally the last day of the season, I mean THE last day when everyone said goodbye, just as I was about to pull off, he came up to my car and asked me if I was free to give him a call sometime. I screamed in joy as I drove off, because I had a serious crush on him and was too scared to ever approach him and never realized that he like me as well! So I was very shocked and happy. LOL!!

On a blind date on Valentine's Day. All my co-workers were going out to a club and I had just broke up with my boyfriend, but I wanted to go so bad but not without a date. My boss knew of a friend of his son-in-laws and we met at the club as a blind date. How did I know it was going to be my soul mate, my best friend and the father of our beautiful 2 children!

I met my hunny through my cousin, they used to work together and he came over to buy a lowrider bike. I was actually leaving the house to go to the store with my mom and I told her that I was going to marry him after just seeing him; we didn't even talk. She kept asking me "are you sure" and I said yes. From then on we were together all the time, 3 wks later we moved in together, 2 months after that we became official and he gave me a promise ring, 2 years later we have a son together and we've been together for almost 5 years now.

My step father worked with my husband and kept at him about taking me out. That was 8 1/2 years ago. We have been married for 7 years.

Oh boy...

I met my husband when I was 15. He was 20, turned 21 a few weeks later. We met through his sister. We had been friends for a few years, didn't even know she had a brother. One night, she said I should meet him. It was love at first sight. We dated for just over a year before breaking up. The age difference was no problem for us. I am an only child and was almost always around adults. His mom, sister (who didn't think we'd actually get along ) and my mom basically broke us up.

I went off to college out of state, he married someone else. I moved back to the area, he was getting a divorce. He emailed me when I was 24. We were engaged the next month, married 9 months later. We've been married now for 4 1/2 years and have a 6 month old son. And now my mom just loves him. She'll call and spend most of the time talking to him. Go figure!
