Do you work in your pajamas?

I was once told by an employer that what you wear directly affects your productivity at work.

Do you feel that you are more or less productive based on your attire? Do you get any work done in the morning when you're still in your pj's? Do you wait until you are properly dressed to start your workday?

Nah, I work in whatever I feel like wearing at the moment. I even just go the school and pre-k wearing my night time clothes, which is really just sweatpants and a tank top. Of course, they know that's not how I always dress.. I do get dressed up to go out. I mean, what's the point of getting all dolled up to sit at my desk? Nobody sees me except me. That's how I feel about it :-D

I have several "silky" Kaftans that look like silk blouses that I wear. Comfort and "dressy" incase there is a webcam teleconference when sitting at the desk.

I go around the house wearing my pajamas till the midday and can do a lot of things. I do not care what do I have on when I have the desire to work! The clothes can influence my work only when I am at office!

I love spending time in my night clothes.

I never really bought into productivity being linked to what you wear, I feel more like it's linked to being comfortable. I'm positive that I'm more productive in my pj bottoms and tank top than I am in heels, hose, skirts, and a button up blouse.

No I never work in my pj's!!
The reason is I feel more productive and professional. I also want my kids to know that is also expected of them too. In the morning I am up, showered dressed and have a cup of coffee before the kids wake up. Then I unload the dishwasher, while making breakfast. After breakfast we make beds and get the kids dressed. I am NOT a morning person I hate mornings but I get more done during the day this way.
I think it is whatever works for you but this is the way it works best for me.

I usually work in my PJ's at night. However during the day I get up, take a shower, and get dressed before I start to work. I find that I'm more productive when I do this.

Yup! Are you kidding me?! That's half the reason I work from home!! LOL

I work best when I am comfortable, and I am most comfortable in my sweat pants and bare feet. It works for me!

I'm productive because I love what I do, I have a child to feed with my income, and I am motivated for my business to grow. It has nothing to do with what I am wearing. I can see how others would feel more productive when dressed for the day, but it doesn't work that way for me!
