Default Thinking of becoming an online psychic

. Hello everyone.

I'm new to this forum and found it while I was looking for information about this career avenue. I've been reading cards for about 30 years; have worked for short periods as a phone psychic and actually use liveperson occasionally. I'm really pretty good at it, but some information I found online ( mostly flamefights I've found regarding Kasamba and other competitive business practices between experts) plus my curiosity about money is making me hesitate.

Anybody here have any advice for me? Are you making a decent living ( or part time income) -- is Liveperson a good place to start? Do you get enough work, are you happy in your job? If you were just starting out online, what would you do?

Hi there!
When I first started, I started with K**n... because it was new and that's where every one was

I now have listings on both K**n and livep***, and have them linked to my personal website. I have biz cards that I printed up at vistaprint (on one of their freebie specials.) and get work that way.

It's not an easy job. It can be physically and emotionally draining. Never ever have I worked more than 3ish hours a day. (I'm good for maybe 3 to 5 readings a day, and then I just need to REST.) But, if you find some balance, and are consistent, you can build a very nice client base and do quite well.

I would say build a page where you are most comfortable, put your own ads out there, and anyone who randomly finds you on the system is a bonus

Default Thanks!

I really appreciate your answer, LS! I'm getting from your screen name that you live in a place I've always wanted to see .

One more question if you happen back this way -- how do you set your prices? I always have trouble with this and what I've seen on the sites don't reveal much. Some people are charging a couple of dollars, others are charging 20 dollars a minute!

Is there a rule of thumb about this, some sort of average that people are charging?

LiveP*** now has a minimum of $1.99 per minute.

On K**n, I have one listing set at around .88 per minute (because I'm in Canada, I make about .24 cents per minute on that) and another at .99.

I had cancelled my old listings at one point (and I"m kicking myself for it now) and now I have new listings, with nearly no feedback. So, I have my per minute low to raise my ratings.. and also, I'm still earning anywhere from $14 US to $20 US an hour. (although I never talk a whole hour, that's what it works out to per minute.)

ALSO... there are affiliate programs you can get involved in. When any of my real life clients signs on with K**n, and makes a paid phone call (they have a $1.99 for 10 min special somewhere) I make a very generous commission for the lead.

And THAT's how I use my website, to garnish the lead, and then do the reading.

feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Default Thanks again!

That is very interesting information. I was wondering about the problem of low feedback on your profile -- I see it does make a difference but it's not enough of one to bar entry. LS I will PM you if I have more questions, thanks!

Smile where to start

i've worked for about all of them, but the best experience by far and a great potential for serious earnings (i left my job with a MA degree in psychology because i had more earning potential with this company.) all you have to do is be good at it, be honest, and be dedicated to 40 hrs wkly. anyway, if i were you i'd start at circleofstars.com. the application process is quick, just remember the info you put in will be in your online profile so give it some thought. the companies you will be viewed and taking calls through will be asknow.com and psychics.com. be prepared to do a sample reading for a recruiter, psychic, or manager.
