How is your business doing during the recession?

Just curious to know how everyone's sales have been during this down time? Do you think people are spending less and saving more, or spending more on themselves to feel pampered.

Truthfully, it's been hard going for me lately. People love the product but sight lack of funds for not purchasing, or even wanting to have a show. You can push all the products that we do have that cost less, but it seems to me that in our business, everyone wants the higher end items, but cannot afford them right now. What's your take?

I wanted to elaborate that it is harder, but not impossible. People are just more selective these days about where their money goes.

I had a friend call me yesterday and told me in passing that she wanted another set of Serenity Plush sheets, but it was out of her reach right now. I told her to just have a party and lets get you those sheets free. She said that it had never occurred to her to do that. LOL! She booked a show for March 27th, and I am bound and determined that she's gonna get those sheets!!!

I have realized that we need to push booking a show more, and emphasize to the host/hostess that they CAN get those items they want so desperately, but can't afford right now.
